Zesty Avocado Sauce
I really enjoy a Zesty Avocado Sauce on Burgers, Tacos and in Burritos. This sauce is quick and easy to make and you can go as hot or mild as you like.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients: Zesty Avocado Sauce
- 1 Avocado, mashed
- 4 tsp. Fresh lime juice
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. Fresh cilantro, chopped
- ¼ tsp. Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt
- 1 Tbsp red pepper flakes, or to taste
- 1 Tbsp. garlic, minced
Zesty Avocado Sauce
Directions: Zesty Avocado Sauce
Slice your avocados and remove seed. An easy way to get the seed out it hit it with your knife just hard enough for it to stick in the seed and twist it. The seed will pop right out. Be careful here you are not cutting trees and avocados are slippery.
Using a large spoon, spoon the avocado out of the shell into a large bowl. I use a potatoe masher but you can use a fork if you prefer. Mash until smooth, mixing in the remaining ingredients. Chill at least 1 hour before serving.

About Our Recipes
We do our recipes on our patio where we have a lineup of grills, including Louisiana, Green Mountain, Memphis, Royall, Traeger pellet grills, Char-Griller, Saber, Charmglow, Char-Broil, The Big Easy, Pacific Living Pizza Oven, Lodge Sportsman’s, Brinkman and Weber. I call it our “Wall of Grill”. Our grilling styles are healthy and low fat and will fit pelletheads, gas, natural wood and even charcoal purists. Almost any of our recipes can be done on any kind of good BBQ.
The important thing to keep in mind is TIME & TEMPERATURE. You can even do some of them in the oven or crock pot, but, then you lose all the flavors you get from cooking outdoors. But sometimes it does rain.
Remember that a recipe is simply an outline; it is not written in stone. Don’t be afraid to make changes to suit your taste. Take it and run with it….
