Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce

A Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce is hard to find, we make our own…

I like a little ZING to my sauce and some folks call this sauce hot and it is a bit warm if you taste it with a spoon. But after cooking on the grill it really mellows out. So I guess you need to go by your own taste. Me, I like it smoking … And the folks that say it is hot always empty their plates… So it is not to hot…

Please Note; This is one of our 1st recipes. You can see how we’ve grown…

 Ingredients: Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce

  • 4 18 oz bottles of cheap BBQ sauce
  • 1 8 oz jar of raspberry preserves
  • 1 6 oz can of chipotle chilies
  • 1 large sweet onion
  • 8 cloves of garlic
  • ¼ cup red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. of liquid smoke
  • 1 8 oz jar of honey (optional) sometimes we add honey

Directions: Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce

Do a rough chop on your onion and garlic, put it in your blender along with the chipotle chilies, blending until smooth. Add in the preserves, honey, BBQ sauce and red pepper flakes.

Blend again until smooth. This sauce is ready now. But, it will be better in a day or so as everything gets happy. Put into jars in the refrigerator. It will keep for weeks.

About Our Recipes

We do our recipes on our patio where we have a lineup of grills, including Louisiana, Green Mountain, Memphis, Royall, Traeger pellet grills, Char-Griller, Saber, Charmglow, Char-Broil, The Big Easy, Pacific Living Pizza Oven, Lodge Sportsman’s, Brinkman and Weber. I call it our “Wall of Grill”. Our grilling styles are healthy and low fat and will fit pelletheads, gas, natural wood and even charcoal purists. Almost any of our recipes can be done on any kind of good BBQ.

The important thing to keep in mind is TIME & TEMPERATURE. You can even do some of them in the oven or crock pot, but, then you lose all the flavors you get from cooking outdoors. But sometimes it does rain.

Remember that a recipe is simply an outline; it is not written in stone. Don’t be afraid to make changes to suit your taste. Take it and run with it….
