Peanut Butter Stuffed Burgers we love BIG Burgers and this one is one of my favorites. Burgers are so versatile with all the combinations you can dream of. Some of our favorite ways to make them are inside out or stuffed burgers. One of Ken’s favorites and one of our most popular is our nutty buddy burger with peanut butter and bacon on top. Tonight’s Peanut Butter Stuffed Burger has cooked bacon and chunky peanut butter inside it. Ken was very happy.
Patti and I have set one night a week just for us. It’s our date night. We usually put something special on our Green Mountain Wood Pellet Grill/Smoker but sometimes we cook inside. We always eat outside on our patio where it is very comfortable with a rainforest theme. Wood Pellet Patio Heater, little lights, candles, lanterns and surround sound. We enjoy a little wine, or strawberry margaritas using frozen strawberries for ice, good food, music and sometimes a dance or two…Check Out All of Our Cookbooks They are “How To” BBQ Picture Books

Tip: put some plastic wrap in the patty maker and the meat won’t be able to stick.
If you don’t have a STUFZ patty maker don’t worry. You can easily make a pocket in the bottom patty by holding it in the palm of your hand and using your thumb to form a pocket.

Note: I ran out of plastic wrap so I cut a clean plastic bag and used that so my patties didn’t stick.

Cooking Directions:Green Mountain Wood Pellet Grill
Mix together all burger ingredients and form into patties. We like ½ pounders. Refrigerate until you are ready for the grill. Fill the pocket with your peanut butter and seal your patty. We used a STUFZ burger stuffer to make our burgers.
Preheat the grill to 375* (190c) and get your Grill Grates good and hot.
Place your burgers directly onto the Hot Grill Grates for about 10 minutes per side with a quarter turn at the 5 minute mark. Perfect.
When the meat reaches an internal temperature around 160* (72c) pull then off, cover and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. U.S.D.A. safe is for ALL GROUND MEAT is 165* (74c). Keep in mind that the meat will continue cooking for another 5 to 10 degrees after you pull it off the grill. I use a Maverick ProTemp Instant Read Thermometer (Our Store) for checking meat temps.
Note: I get a lot of questions about the kind of pellets you can use with a recipe. Keep in mind that a recipe is just an outline. Some you need to follow closely like when you are making bread, but most you can do anything you can dream, our favorite way to cook. Feel free to mix and match the pellets until you find a combination you really like. Also you are only smoking at temps less than 250 degrees (122c), anything higher is cooking and there will not be much if any smoke so it does not matter what kind of pellet you are using.

About Our Recipes
We do our recipes on our patio where we have a lineup of grills, including Monument, Green Mountain, Uuni Wood Fired Pizza Oven, Sawtooth, Louisiana, Royall, Memphis, Traeger pellet grills, Char Griller side box smoker, Saber, Charmglow, Char-Broil, The Big Easy, Lodge Sportsman’s, Brinkman and Weber. I call it our “Wall of Grill”. Our grilling styles are healthy and low fat and will fit pelletheads, gas, natural wood and even charcoal purists. Almost any of our recipes can be done on any kind of good BBQ.
The important thing to keep in mind is TIME & TEMPERATURE. You can do our recipes on any grill, even some of them in the oven or crock pot, but, then you lose all the flavors you get from cooking outdoors. But sometimes it does rain.
Remember that a recipe is simply an outline; it is not written in stone. Don’t be afraid to make changes to suit your taste. Take it and run with it….

Our Thanks To:

Don’t see any peanut butter in the recipe. Did I miss something?
You got me there David!!! I did forget to ad it in the ingredients. I’ll ad it in, thank you.
Basically we used a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter per burger…
Which ingredients are the burger ingredients and which are the stuffing? I’m confused…
I see what you mean. I’ll fix it. The stuffing was just peanut butter…
Thank you
I mixed the crumbled bacon in with the PB. They were fantastic! I used 2/3 lean beef and 1/3 pork. Best burgers I’ve ever made. Everyone around the table agreed!
Sounds GOOD!!!
Sometimes I mix a little garlic and or red pepper flakes also….
Thanks
