Backyard BBQ A Outdoor Oven Recipe
Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes at 425 degrees (217c) Grill: Any Pellets:Green Mountain’s Apple Blend BBQ Pellets
Ingredients: Apple Cranberry Tart
- 1 ½ lbs. Pink Lady apples, peeled and sliced thin
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 can whole cranberry sauce
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 ready made pie crust
- Fresh mint leaves, optional

Directions: Apple Cranberry Tart
In a small saucepot melt cranberry sauce with honey, add cranberries and vanilla. Place pie crust in tart pan. Arrange apple slices over crust. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Brush on cranberry mixture.

Cooking Directions: Apple Cranberry Tart
Cooking in the an Outdoor Oven/grill is a snap. If you are going to use the smoke box fill it up first with either wood chips or pellets. I like GMG pellets because there are so many different kinds and low ash. (Easy clean up.)
Close the door and preheat the oven to your desired temp. You may have to adjust it up or down until you reach your temperature. But, once you hit it the oven will hold it. Bake for 30 minutes at 425* (217c).
